Site carpenter — Brewster County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a site carpenter in Brewster County, Texas. You will work on a commercial fit-out site. The role involves: • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together Requirements: • Own basic hand tools • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
