Pressman wanted in Knox County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pressman in Knox County, Maine. The job is in a garment export house. Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Give each garment a final press before packing • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits.
