Foundry labourer • Grant County, Oregon

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Grant County, Oregon. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
