Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Oxfordshire, England. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
