Vacancy available: we are hiring a tile setter in Johnson County, Iowa. You will be based at a bathroom renovation job. Requirements: • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts The role involves set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges; run silicone sealant into corners and expansion joints; make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits; grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge; match the tile pattern and coursing across the walls; level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system.
