Pipe tig welder — Glenn County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Glenn County, California. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
