Join our team: foundry worker (Missouri)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Nodaway County, Missouri. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Day-to-day duties: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
