Argon welding operator — Green Lake County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Green Lake County, Wisconsin. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
