Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Fluvanna County, Virginia. The job is at an automotive components factory. You should have: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges On a typical shift you will run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square.
