Join our team: kitchen porter (Connecticut)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a kitchen porter in Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based in a catering unit. Day-to-day duties: • Wash chopping boards, knives and kitchen utensils • Mop the floors and wipe down kitchen surfaces and splashbacks • Scrub out grease traps and clear blocked drains and gullies • Polish glasses and cutlery and stack them ready at the pass • Empty bins, take out the rubbish and break down cardboard • Sort, dry and return clean plates and bowls to the kitchen stations You should have: • Good teamwork with chefs and floor staff • Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen preferred • Comfortable lifting heavy pots, pans and stock crates We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits.
