Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Manatee County, Florida. Your main tasks: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. We offer $22 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
