Great opportunity: foundry operative (Tennessee)

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Cumberland County, Tennessee. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Performance bonus on top of base pay.
