Commis chef — Washington Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commis chef in Washington Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a catering banquet kitchen. What we are looking for: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure Day-to-day duties: • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
