Argon welder — Huron County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Huron County, Ohio. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
