Brickwork mason — Shetland Islands

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Shetland Islands, Scotland. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets On the job you will handle: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge Full-time, day shift.
