Bread baker — Chatham County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bread baker in Chatham County, North Carolina. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. Day to day you will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; load and unload the deck oven with a peel. What we are looking for: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens 4+ years on the tools preferred.
