Machine operator (earthworks) — Carroll County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Carroll County, Illinois. You will be based at a road and highway construction project. On the job you will handle: • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Rotating shifts.
