Garment presser — Montcalm County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Montcalm County, Michigan. You will be based in a garment export house. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Your main tasks: • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
