We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Doncaster, England. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection You will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
