Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Mitchell County, North Carolina. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits.
