You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day-to-day duties: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Performance bonus on top of base pay.
