Ladle pourer — Wharton County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Wharton County, Texas. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
