Brick and block layer • Blanco County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Blanco County, Texas. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Day to day you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
