Now hiring: tiling assistant (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tiling assistant in McHenry County, Illinois. You will work at a busy tiling site. Your main tasks: • Set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges • Mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency • Fit tile spacers to keep the grout joints even • Fit skirting tiles, step nosings and external corner trims • Make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits • Set out the tile layout and snap reference lines with a chalk line What we are looking for: • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) • Physically fit for kneeling, bending and lifting tile boxes At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
