Requirements: • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Day to day you will fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it.
