Now hiring: we are hiring a cook in City of Martinsville, Virginia. You will be based in a catering banquet kitchen. On a typical shift you will marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
