Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Delaware County, Iowa. The job is at a precast concrete yard. The role involves: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift Requirements: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Strong attention to safety and load limits On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
