Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundsman in Monongalia County, West Virginia. You will work in a residential garden complex. The role involves: • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines Requirements: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
