Tig welder — Mono County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Mono County, California. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. You will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
