Vacancy available: gantry crane operator (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Clay County, Texas. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. You should have: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts On a typical shift you will work out the load weight and the lifting radius; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams.
