Construction helper • Berrien County, Michigan

Immediate opening: we are hiring a construction helper in Berrien County, Michigan. You will work with a civil contractor. What we are looking for: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Day to day you will fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker; carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $200 per day, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
