Foundry worker — Klickitat County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Klickitat County, Washington. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
