Now hiring: we are hiring a panel welder in Custer County, Montana. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. You should have: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On a typical shift you will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose.
