Turning centre operator wanted in Perth and Kinross

Now hiring: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The job is at an auto-components manufacturing unit. On a typical shift you will run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers. What we are looking for: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Rotating shifts.
