Argon welder — Fluvanna County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Fluvanna County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) On a typical shift you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
