Overhead (EOT) crane operator • Columbia County, Arkansas

We are recruiting: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Columbia County, Arkansas. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. Day to day you will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
