Lifting rigger — Montgomery County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Montgomery County, Maryland. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear On a typical shift you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift.
