Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC window fitter in Lee County, Florida. The job is at a glazing and fabrication factory. Day-to-day duties: • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter You should have: • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Rotating shifts.
