Precision welder — Mifflin County

Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
