Immediate opening: road roller operator (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a road roller operator in Lake County, Michigan. The job is at a plant hire yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster On the job you will handle: • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
