CNC milling operator — Whatcom County

Join our team: we are hiring a CNC milling operator in Whatcom County, Washington. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
