Trowel-trade bricklayer • Bond County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Bond County, Illinois. You will work at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters What we are looking for: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
