Great opportunity: we are hiring an oven operator in New Kent County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens The role involves boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; score the top of loaves before baking; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
