Blocklayer wanted in Gilmer County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Gilmer County, West Virginia. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Day to day you will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters.
