Immediate opening: we are hiring a retail butcher in Kinney County, Texas. The job is in a supermarket meat department. Day to day you will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling 5+ years on the tools preferred.
