Now hiring: shakeout operator (Florida)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Citrus County, Florida. On a typical shift you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
