Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals Day to day you will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller.
