Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Labette County, Kansas. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $20 per hour, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
