Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Monroe County, New York. The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Performance bonus on top of base pay.
