Furnace operator — Hampton County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Hampton County, South Carolina. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
